Horsport Rehydration & Recovery

A combination of electrolytes, glycine (an amino acid) and glucose which aids electrolyte replacement resulting from sweat loss during strenuous long distance exercise and transportation especially during hot weather. Rehydration is a very important issue in performance horses as it means faster recovery and a longer peak performance period, with the animal being able to back up faster (e.g. more frequent racing).

ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS: Each L contains: SODIUM 21 g POTASSIUM 7.5 g CHLORIDE 32 g PHOSPHATE 18.1 g GLYCINE 40 g GLUCOSE 260 g CITRATE 3.4 g

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION: ADEQUATE CLEAN DRINKING WATER SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES WHEN USING HORSPORT. DILUTE HORSPORT IN CLEAN, FRESH WATER BEFORE USE. Give diluted HORSPORT REHYDRATION & RECOVERY™ after exercise or during work to aid recovery and rehydration. LIGHT WORK: Dilute 40 mL HORSPORT in at least 2 L of drinking water. Horses over 300 kg should be given 4 L of diluted solution. Ponies (under 300 kg) should be given 2 L of diluted solution. HEAVY WORK: Dilute 80 mL HORSPORT in at least 2 L of drinking water. Horses over 300 kg should be given 8 L of diluted solution. Ponies (under 300 kg) should be given 4 L of diluted solution. ENDURANCE RIDING: Dilute HORSPORT at a rate of 80 mL in 2 L of drinking water and give at least 2 L of diluted solution as often as possible during the event. During excessive sweating, dilute HORSPORT at a rate of 80 mL per litre to aid increased rehydration and electrolyte replacement. It is recommended that electrolyte replacers such as ELECTROMIX ELECTROLYTES & SWEAT™ also be used routinely in feed to ensure electrolyte needs are satisfied. HORSPORT may be further diluted to suit the taste of individual horses.
