When to use Glycocel 

• To help in the recovery of debilitated animals, supplying them with an immediate energy source. Because Glycocel is so efficiently digested and absorbed, it serves as an important fuel for the malnourished or ill animal. 
• When a diet with high caloric density is desirable, i.e. animals under extreme stress; heavy workloads such as training and racing, endurance, pregnancy and lactation, breeding and growing.
• When acceptance of traditional feed is limited.

Fast Delivery of Energy Glycocel empties from the stomach as fast as an equivalent amount of water (Rapid gastric emptying), thus allowing the rapid delivery of readily available energy, without compromising fluid availability to the animal. Fed on 3 consecutive days following racing, Glycocel will assist in
restoring depleted liver glycogen levels. This is likely to be especially beneficial with sprinting horses. Such
horses (like athletes) enter into the anaerobic phase, during these short, sustained high speed races. As a result the system must draw heavily on stored tissue energy sources, like glycogen. 

Administration To be fed orally, i.e. in the feed, drinking water, or by tube drench to horses and racing dogs. Glycocel may be fed in two ways; on a daily basis or pre race and post race. Dose levels are to be used as a guide only. Because Glycocel is non-toxic, higher levels may be used with complete safety. For debilitated animals refer to your veterinary practitioner. Be sure to provide adequate drinking water after administration. If administered in drinking water, product and water must be changed every 24 hours.
When feeding on a daily basis, animals should be exercised, except where debilitated, otherwise excess weight problems will occur.
